Soussan Afsharfar, the founder and creative energy behind Symbiotic Architecture, Inc. is a registered licensed architect in the states of Texas, Pennsylvania and Washington where she has practiced architecture for the past 25 years.

Apart from her hands on experience in design, documentation and construction of large and small scale buildings, Soussan has taught architectural design studios as an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University and as teaching assistant while attending the PhD program in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. She has served as design studio guest critic at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia University and New Jersey Institute of Technology. Soussan’s educational credits are Master of Science in Architectural Theory from University of Pennsylvania, Master of Architecture From University of Washington, Master of science in Housing and Interior Design and Bachelor of architecture from University of Tennessee.
